1. Information We Collect

Quick Page Snap does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal information or browsing data. The extension operates entirely locally:

• ✅ No personal data collection - We don't collect names, emails, or any personal identifiers
• ✅ No browsing history - We don't track your browsing activity or visited websites
• ✅ No screenshot uploads - All screenshots stay on your device
• ✅ No analytics - We don't use any tracking or analytics tools
• ✅ No cookies - The extension doesn't use cookies

2. Permissions Explained

This extension requires the following Chrome permissions to function:

• activeTab:
  • Used to capture the visible content of your current tab
  • Only activated when you click the "Capture Now" button
  • No background or automatic capturing
• scripting:
  • Enables full-page scrolling and capture functionality
  • Only runs when you initiate a screenshot
• storage:
  • Temporarily stores your screenshot locally before editing
  • Data is automatically deleted after the editor tab is closed
  • Never synced or uploaded to any server
• host_permissions (<all_urls>):
  • Required to capture full-page screenshots on any website
  • Only active when you explicitly click the capture button
  • No automatic or background access to any website

3. How Your Data is Handled

Screenshots:

• Capture Process: When you take a screenshot, the extension captures multiple images as you scroll
• Temporary Storage: These images are stitched together locally in your browser's memory
• Local Storage: The final screenshot is temporarily stored in Chrome's local storage (not synced) to transfer it to the editor
• Automatic Deletion: The temporary storage is cleared immediately after the editor loads
• Download: When you click download, the image is saved directly to your computer
• No Cloud Storage: Screenshots are never uploaded to any cloud service or external server

Editing Features:

• Crop & Highlight: All editing happens locally in your browser
• No Image Processing: We don't process or analyze your images in any way
• Original Quality: Your screenshots maintain their original quality and content

4. Data Retention

• Temporary storage: Screenshots in local storage are deleted when you close the editor tab
• Downloads: Downloaded images are saved to your computer and managed by you
• No permanent storage: We don't maintain any databases or permanent storage

5. Third-Party Services

Quick Page Snap does NOT use any third-party services, trackers, or analytics. This means:

• No Google Analytics
• No advertising networks
• No error tracking services
• No external APIs (except Chrome's native APIs)
• No content delivery networks (CDNs) that might track you

6. Children's Privacy

Our extension does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. All processing is local and no data is transmitted.

7. Security

Since all processing happens locally on your device and no data is transmitted:

• Your screenshots never leave your computer
• No data can be intercepted during transmission (because there is no transmission)
• No accounts or passwords are required
• You maintain complete control over your screenshots

8. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the new version will be:

• Posted on the Chrome Web Store listing
• Included in the extension update
• Clearly marked with a new version number and date

Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You have complete control over your data:

• Choose when to capture: Screenshots only happen when you click the button
• Choose what to capture: You decide which pages to screenshot
• Choose where to save: You control where downloaded images are stored
• Delete anytime: You can delete any downloaded screenshots from your computer
